John Denver's Windstar Foundation Presents...

Windstar's EARTHcamp began in 2000 as an environmentally based summer day camp for children in the Roaring Fork Valley of Snowmass, Colorado. Since that time it has expanded to cities across the country and gone international with a camp in Jerusalem, Israel. EARTHcamp's unique curriculum now includes camps with changing themes and activities, an after school program and a new multigenerational camp, designed to give families time to discover the healing and bonding power that comes from spending time in nature.

We at Windstar believe, like many educational experts, that nature holds an important part in the health of humanity, no matter what our age. EARTHcamp invites us to return to nature, inspires us to new viewpoints of how we live on our planet and above all, asks us to find our place within the ecosystem we call Earth!

GOALS:
EARTHcamp was designed to inspire us to care for our world:

By presenting nature in an active, creative and hands-on manner
By highlighting the necessity for biodiversity
By offering a correlated curriculum of science, games, visual arts, theater arts and music

MISSION:

It is our intent that everyone who attends Windstar Foundation's EARTHcamp will develop a love and respect for the Earth that will last a lifetime.

EARTHcamp LEADERS WORKSHOP: This four day workshop, held in Snowmass, Colorado, will provide you a complete hands-on experience of our camp curriculum. Members of the Windstar Global Family can attend the workshop free of charge. After attending, we ask that you work with the EARTHcamp staff to schedule and host an EARTHcamp the following year.
